Born in Crowley, Louisiana in 1969, Revivalist Bobby Leger grew up in a dysfunctional home with his three younger siblings. At 9 yrs of age, their alcoholic father abandoned the family and left Bobby to raise his two brothers and one sister. This would lead to a very uncertain future for Bobby - filled with theft, drugs, gambling and prostitution. Bobby’s actions led him to run-ins with the authorities, the expulsion from his home town and eventually ordered to join the U.S. Army.
In the midst of his downfall, Bobby met Linda, who would later become his wife. Linda was a Christian who was raised in the church. Bobby later joined the army and continued to live a life of “self”. Four years in the army, Bobby was approached and realized he would be deployed to fight in the Iraqi War - Dessert Storm. While in Iraq, Bobby promised God that he would straighten out his life, if God would protect him.
Nine months later.... Bobby returned home without a scratch on him, and forgot the promise he made to God.
The Morning After:
One morning after pulling an all-nighter, Bobby opened his eyes to the silhouette of his little girl. She stated “Dad, I want to be just like you.” His daughter was holding a beer can in one hand and a cigarette in the other.
The Voice:
For the first time in Bobby’s life God spoke to his heart. At this moment, Bobby surrendered his life to God and gave his heart to Jesus Christ and the love of God washed over him for hours, which seemed like days. Bobby felt loved and he wept from the overwhelming joy and peace of God. At this point in his life, Bobby was completely delivered from drugs, alcohol, cultic worship and the sin that brought him down for so long.
Five years later, God had Revivalist Bobby Leger pastor a church in Sulphur, Louisiana that had a total of four members. Within two years the church membership grew to seventy people and a 47,000 sqft facility which would become the biggest church in the city where people would come to be saved, delivered and healed all for the glory of God.
